You'll be rewarded for your efforts with a Prismarium: a small container where the Mirage lives in. Once you trigger the Prismtunity for a Mirage you'll need to select Imprism in your menu to catch it. If you don't know how to get a Mirage's Prismtunity you can use the Libra spell to find out! You cannot catch a Mirage until its Prismtunity. A Prismtunity is when the Mirage becomes vulnerable to being Imprismed. However, you cannot Imprism the Mirage until you see your Prismtunity. With this you'll be able to catch, or Imprism, the Mirage. It can only be used for that type of Mirage. When you encounter a new Mirage for the first time you'll get one Prism meant specifically for it. In order to recruit a Mirage onto your team you'll need to learn some key words: Prism, Imprism, Prismtunity, and Prismarium. The rest of them are carried in a case at the hub world, Nine Wood Hills. You can up to four Mirages at once and keep another 6 with you in your party to switch into your team between battles. Mirages are the monsters of the World of Final Fantasy that you catch to use in your own team. 50 means they'll take 50% more damage than usual while +50 means they'll resist the element and you'll only do 50% of the normal damage. If you're not sure which elements to use against an enemy just use Libra to learn all about them. This means you'll see how much health they have, how you can Imprism them, and their elemental information. This spell is used to learn about the enemy you use it on. They can fight for you and one of their spells that you'll be able to use right at the beginning is called Libra. Your friendly companion, Tama, is one of the characters you meet early on. However, water or wind puts out fire so we can deduce that Ifrit may be weak to an element like that. If you're fighting this flaming beast then you won't want to use fire magic on him because it will either do nothing or heal him. Lets take Ifrit the fire summon for example. The most important rule is to avoid using an element on a monster who is that element. It's here where your choices will matter. Your attacks will have special attributes and your foes will too. You'll need to understand strengths and weaknesses in order to make battles easier. These magicks are based around elements you will find in most games but for the record you'll be working with fire, water, electricity, ice, wind, earth, light, and dark. The Final Fantasy franchise has always had a strong focus on magic. If you do not plan on playing this on multiple systems or do not want to do an extra save every time you save just so that you can have your data uploading online then turn it off. Some may have the game on both devices and so there is Cross Saving so allow you to play your game's data on either one by downloading the cross save from the cloud. That means that while it is on PS4 it is also available on the Vita. This is a game made for the PlayStation family of products. With this style you'll be able to go through a list of your commands, spells, and items just like you could in Final Fantasy 7 or any of the other classics. For a battle menu more familiar to veterans of Final Fantasy games pick the Classic battle menu. It is arguably faster for quick inputs, but if you're using a large majority of spells and want to be able to better control your actions then it's not the best. This means that you'll have specific abilities and actions mapped to one of the four face buttons on your PlayStation™ controller. When you begin the game you'll be defaulted to the Basic style of menus in combat. Whichever you prefer will impact the combat of the game immensely, but you can change whenever you want! With this the timer will continue to move allowing the enemy's turn to come, but they will not act until you take your turn. There is a choice for those who want the best of both worlds: Semi-active. The Active style allows enemies to take actions even if it's your turn and you're navigating menus so you're punished for being slow to make choices. The original method of Final Fantasy games where you have predetermined turns is called Wait: When it's your turn the timer stops until your attack is over. In World of Final Fantasy there is a timer on the side of the screen to show time elapsing. This timer doesn't stop while you navigate menus so the longer it takes for you to choose your action the more actions the enemy gets to take. Eventually, they introduced the Active Time Battle (ATB) system where a timer counts down to when you or the enemy can make a move. When you begin the game it will do a good job of explaining a lot of different settings, but a number of these options change how you'll experience the game.įor the first few Final Fantasy games it was purely turn based so that you and the enemy had turns defined only by your speed stats.
